The reconstructed courtyard of Poľská-Justičná offers a quiet and safe zone with greenery, which is used for meetings, sitting, and peaceful spending time with neighbors. Thanks to modifications, the space has gained a unified look and functionality.
The renovation of the courtyard between Poľská and Justičná streets was designed by The Urban Greenery Department of the Bratislava Municipal Office and the Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava in cooperation with the winning studio Kate Design. The project mainly involved replacement planting, which brought better quality greenery to the courtyard.
As part of the greenery modifications, existing hedges, in which garbage often accumulated. were pruned. New lighting has helped increase the sense of security. The original benches or game elements were in poor condition and were therefore replaced by new street furniture.
This project is part of the Bratislava Public Spaces Renewal Scheme – Vivid Spaces.
