The revitalization of the areas added several green elements, new perennial beds and visually attractive trees. It also includes a design for a green wall to grow over the adjacent public transport facility. An important operation is the installation of wooden seat cushions - in-house-made elements that transform the existing concrete blocks into functional street furniture. Revitalisation represents another quick and effective intervention in the public space.

The public space next to the SNP Bridge together with its surroundings is full of people moving in the middle of a busy traffic triangle in the city centre. Near the bus stops, there is an inconspicuous concrete area which, due to its condition, has not been used.

The revitalization plan works effectively with the current possibilities of the space. The concrete blocks were cleaned and supplemented with wooden elements for seating by the Bratislava Municipal Utility Company. The newly created benches are an example of simple solutions and will be accompanied by street furniture, which will increase the practical use of the space.

The surface modifications consisted of reduction of the interlocking pavers and replacement of unnecessarily paved areas with turf. In addition to lawns, perennial beds and visually appealing trees have been added, which shall promote biodiversity and enhance the local greenery.

The sculpture Zem-Žena (Earth-Woman) by Ľudmila Cvengrošová (1973) will remain in place, while a simple metal structure has been created on the building of Dopravný podnik Bratislavy (The Bratislava Transport Company). Thanks to climbing plants, it shall create a green wall, taking into account the operational needs of the building. Another change is the extension of the tree planting pit by the staircase from the SNP Bridge and its subsequent lighting in the last phase of the project.

This project is part of the Programme for the public space revitalization in Bratislava – Vivid Spaces. It is the first-ever framework for a systematic change of the public space of the capital on several levels. The scheme is implemented in cooperation with the capital city and the city districts.
