Krasňany Swimming Pool
The Krasňany swimming pool will undergo a big change for the better. New swimming pools will be added and the whole area will be expanded.
The popular Krasňany swimming pool, which has been in operation since the 1960s, will undergo renovation. This will start with the modernization of the technology and surfaces of the swimming pools. The concept of the pools will also change. The large pool will be divided into a swimming pool and a smaller relaxation pool with seating around the perimeter. The changing rooms and the bistro will be renovated and a colonnade with a new entrance to the swimming pool will be built. The whole area will be expanded by previously unused land.
The planned restoration is being carried out by the capital together with the Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava and the Administration of Physical Education and Recreational Facilities in consultation with the city district. Architects from PLURAL, zerozero, and Diervilla collaborated on the architectural study.
This project is part of the Bratislava Public Spaces Renewal Scheme – Vivid Spaces.
