Rental of Selected Municipal Premises 

n cooperation with the district, we have launched a pilot project of renting selected municipal buildings in a public tender, in which the competitors do not compete only based on price, but also by value criteria. What function is needed in the neighbourhood and the social or cultural aspect that the project will bring.

The competition aims to attract tenants who can complement the missing features in the area and obtain a variety of services in locations where this is not possible based on price alone. This shall create functional units and neighbourhoods. Similar principles have been used to select tenants for municipal buildings in neighbouring Vienna and Prague. 

The first site is the Toll House by the Old Bridge on the old town bank of the Danube, a former customs house and an office from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. 

The second location is an unused space on the ground floor of a residential building in Petržalka on Jasovská Street. 

The competition runs until February 11, 2021. The winning tenant will be evaluated by an expert panel and a member of the City Council. This Thursday, December 17, and then on January 15, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., interested parties can go see the two locations in person.
