The Dunajská Park
Thanks to new impact areas, quality play elements, furniture and lighting, the park on Dunajská Street has created an attractive space for spending time with children right in the centre.
The revitalisation of the Park on Dunajská Street, formerly Vešeléni’s garden, has brought several elements and areas for children. We created a “children’s water play” with a water-retaining function in the terrain modelling of the lawn, which provides an eco-stabilising function for the environment.
We have added perennial beds to the existing mature greenery, which contribute to the landscaping of the site, improve water drainage and promote a more diverse habitat. The greenery was also complemented by an intensive residential lawn.
The result of the restoration is a pleasant downtown park to spend leisure time with children.
This project is part of the Programme for the public space revitalization in Bratislava – Vivid Spaces. It is the first-ever framework for a systematic change of the public space of the capital on several levels. The scheme is implemented in cooperation with the capital city and the city districts.
