We create a healthy and safe city for all children.
The Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava, together with the Bratislava City Hall and UNICEF, launched the City for Kids project for safer streets around schools so that children can move and play freely in the streets.
By working with schools, implementing measures to improve pedestrian safety, and supporting community-building initiatives, we want to create a child-friendly environment that allows them to move freely through the city.
The project also responds to the current situation where more and more children are driven to school by their parents, despite living nearby. The aim is therefore to increase the percentage of school children who go to school on foot, by bike or by public transport.
