Our Mission

Public interest

We promote principles that have the needs of all in mind when creating public space; we are representatives of the public interest of the city.

Quality planning, public space and architecture

Bratislava needs quality urban planning, architecture and public space, and we will deliver this through good tenders and clearly defined terms of reference.

Setting standards

We are setting standards for the creation of public spaces, we want to create a united Bratislava that is guided by a clear plan on how to proceed when building new spaces or renovating old ones.

Openness and conceptuality

We want to communicate openly what the future shape of the city should look like. That’s why we involve residents or other local parties in the dialogue.

Our statement to gender equality

Gender equality is a fundamental human right, and a necessary foundation for a sustainable, resilient and peaceful world in which people live in harmony with nature. The objective of gender equality is to ensure a society in which women, men, boys, girls and people of other gender minorities, have access to the same opportunities, rights and obligations in all spheres of life.

Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava considers gender equality essential to achieve sustainable and inclusive conservation as well as human wellbeing.
